A LITTLE About Me

I’m Jilliann

In case you’re curious…

My home is the Central Coast of California, but I grew up on a farm in the San Joaquin Valley. A country girl at heart – I can’t get enough of farm-to-table produce and grass-fed beef. I enjoy life in a guest cottage located on three acres shared with horses, a busy hen house, and three delightful dogs.  The place where I’m blessed to dwell and read and study and write and savor good coffee with great friends.

Books are my obsession. Writing and speaking are my passion – a means of connecting with other women as we grow and overcome and brave this life together.

The women at Table 11, my Bible study pals and prayer warriors, keep me honest and humble – and love me – even though they know me well. We’ve been together ten years and counting…

I’ve been actively involved in women’s ministries, home Bible studies, neighborhood evangelism, Bible Study Fellowship and Christian Women’s Club. More recently, I have developed Be Bold. Live Free 101, an online course and private online community.

life verses…

For God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV)

But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep His covenant and remember His precepts to do them.
Psalm 103:4-5 (NASB)

beliefs…

I believe in God, our Creator, the one true living God.

I believe in the Bible, His inspired Word. It is Truth, for He is Truth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, the Messiah, Son of God and God Himself.

I believe in the cross, where Jesus bore and paid the price for the sins of the world – once for all time – including mine.

I believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, who guides with gentle nudges and quick cautions and imparts peace to my soul in impossible circumstances.

I believe in the forgiveness, patience, grace and mercy of God – and His love – for I know each of these things.

loves…

My heart is blessed to the brim and overflows with love for my three children – and their children – my seven precious grands. And for my daughter-in-love, mother to five of them.

Alas, I cannot leave out the fact that I have two grand-dogs and a grand-cat, each one an important member of our family. Naturally, the cat believes she is especially grand.
